have continuously existed since 1928; and provided further,
that in the case of a lawful non-conforming use existing at
the time of the enactment of zoning ordinances under the
provisions of this Act in that portion of the District in
Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, respectively, out-
side the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, the
particular use which may exist at the effective date of the
said zoning ordinances, adopted under the authority of this
Act, may be continued and appropriate licenses be issued,
limited, however, to such particular use in each case. For
the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this section, the
Commission shall supply every such clerk, administrative
official, licensing body or board, and every other official or
body empowered to issue any license or permit, with a copy
of the map or maps showing the residential, commercial, in-
dustrial and other zones or districts in the District. Every
license or permit issued in violation of this section shall be
invalid; and the issuance of any such license or permit is
hereby declared a misdemeanor and punishable as other mis-
demeanors are punishable under Section 2AA of this Act.

1927 and the amendments thereof, being Sections 588, 589,
595, 598, 599, 600, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 609A, 610,
611, and 612 of Article 16 of the Code of Local Public Laws
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-
title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District", as
amended by Chapter 286 of the Laws of Maryland, 1929, and
Chapter 505 of the Laws of Maryland, 1933, and Chapter 508
of the Laws of Maryland, 1935, and Sections 723, 724, 730,
733, 734, 735, 738, 739, 740, 741, 742, 743, 744, 744A, 745, 746
and 747 of Article 17 of said Code, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan Dis-
trict", as amended by Chapter 286 of the Laws of Maryland,
1929, and Chapter 505 of the Laws of Maryland, 1933, and
Chapter 508 of the Laws of Maryland, 1935, be and the same
are hereby repealed.

Nothing contained in this section of this Act shall impair
the continued and entire effectiveness of any ordinance, order,
regulation, resolution, adoption, certification, decision, de-
termination, plan, map, plat or other action duly and validly
enacted, adopted, made or taken by the Boards of County
Commissioners or District Councils of Montgomery County or
Prince George's County or by the Commission or by a Board
of Zoning Appeals, or by any other body or official under the
authority of any of the above repealed sections previous to
the taking effect of its repeal, until such ordinance, order,
regulation, resolution, adoption, certification, decision, de-
