parallel to the center line of the Meadows-Camp Springs-Allen-
town-Friendly Road; thence westerly and southwesterly about
3. 2 miles along the aforesaid line to its intersection with a line
300 feet southwest of and parallel to the center line of the
Southern Maryland Road, also known as the Brandywine
Road; thence northwesterly about 2. 8 miles along the aforesaid
line extended to its intersection at Gordon's Corner with a line
300 feet west of and parallel to the center line of the continua-
tion of the Southern Maryland Road; thence northerly about
0. 5 mile along the aforesaid line to its intersection at Silver Hill
with a line 300 feet southwest of and parallel to the center line
of the Walker Road; thence northwesterly about 0. 8 mile along
the aforesaid line to its intersection with a line 2640 feet
southeast of and parallel to the Maryland-District of Columbia
Boundary Line; thence due southwest about 6. 6 miles along the
aforesaid line to its intersection with the Maryland-Virginia
Boundary Line; thence northerly about 0. 7 mile along the afore-
said Boundary Line to its intersection with the Maryland-
District of Columbia Boundary Line; thence due northeast 10. 0
miles along the aforesaid Boundary Line to the eastern corner
of the District of Columbia; thence due northwest 10. 0 miles
along the aforesaid Boundary Line to the northern corner of
the District of Columbia; thence due southwest about 6. 0 miles
. along the aforesaid Boundary Line to the place of beginning.
B. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act,
said District shall be under the jurisdiction of The Maryland-
National Capital Park and Planning Commission created by
Chapter 448, Laws of Maryland of 1927, and hereinafter for
abbreviation, referred to in this Act as "the Commission" or
"Commission". In addition to all powers granted to it in other
laws and statutes the Commission shall have the right to exer-
cise all powers and functions granted to it in this Act and to do
any and all other corporate acts for the purpose of carrying
<out the provisions of this Act. The Commission may appoint
and discharge at pleasure and fix the compensation of or may
contract for the services of such engineering, planning, admin-
istrative, auditing, clerical or other force as from time to time
in its judgment may be necessary to the administration of this
Act and may require any employee to give bond with surety
approved by and in a sum to be fixed by the Commission.
C. The Commission is hereby authorized and directed to
hold meetings, conduct hearings and perform any or all of the
duties vested in it by this Act at whichever of its offices shall
in the judgment of the Commission best suit the convenience
of the public in each case.
D. The Commission is hereby authorized and empowered to
make and adopt and, from time to time, amend, extend, or add
