uring devices conform to the lawful standard and are kept
in proper repair. All such weights, measures, weighing de-
vices and measuring devices shall be inspected periodically
by the State Superintendent of Weights and Measures or
by the Bureau of Mines and if found to be accurate and in
good condition, said State Superintendent of Weights and
Measures or Bureau of Mines shall make proper certification
thereto.

59C. Any weighman or person acting as weighman, in
any market engaged in selling or storing leaf tobacco in
Maryland, who shall knowingly and wilfully misrepresent
or attempt to misrepresent the weight of any tobacco weighed
by him on the warehouse floor shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a
fine of not less than twenty-five dollars (f25. 00) and not
more than one hundred dollars ($100. 00) for each and every
violation of this section.

59D. The maximum sales of baskets of tobacco on the floor
of any loose leaf auction warehouse shall not exceed 360
baskets during any one hour.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 979.
(House Bill 480)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
102 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Ballots and Ballot
Boxes", reducing the number of surplus ballots to be printed
for use in the several election districts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-.
land, That Section 102 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Ballots
and Ballot Boxes", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

102. The Supervisors of Elections shall provide for each
election precinct in the several counties and in the City of
Baltimore in which paper ballots shall be used, a package of
