and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health, "
sub-title "Water, Ice and Sewerage, " said new section
to be know{n as Section 384A, and to follow immediately
. after Section 384 of said Article, making it unlawful to
discharge sewage into any well or artesian well.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 50
of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "Claims
and Compensation; Benefits", relating to notice to employer
in case of accident.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 50 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation",
sub-title "Claims and Compensation; Benefits", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
50. Notice, in writing or otherwise, of any injury for which
compensation is payable under this Article shall be given to
the employer within ten days after the accident, and also in
case of the death of the employee resulting from such injury,
within thirty days after such death. Such notice if in writing,
shall contain the name and address of the employee, and state
in ordinary language the time, place, nature and cause of the
injury, and be signed by him or by a person on his behalf, or
