Church Hill, Queenstown and Sudlersville upon motor
vehicles owned by residents of said towns.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 18
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County
Treasurer", said new section to be known as Section 217-A,
to follow immediately after Section 217 of said Article, as
said section was enacted by Chapter 9 of the Acts of the
Special Session of 1936, and to read as follows:
217-A. The County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County
is hereby authorized and directed to collect all taxes levied
by the Town Commissioners of Centreville, Church Hill,
Queenstown and Sudlersville upon motor vehicles owned
by the residents of said towns and it shall be the duty of
the Commissioners to notify the County Treasurer of their
respective tax rates. The County Treasurer shall there-
upon collect the taxes on said motor vehicles at the respec-
tive town tax rates but, in no case, shall the town taxes on
any motor vehicle be less than One Dollar ($1. 00). The said
Treasurer shall remit to each of said towns, at the first of
each month, the amount of taxes collected during the pre^
ceding month on motor vehicles in the respective towns.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts, gen-
eral, local and special, including the charter provisions of
the municipalities of Centreville, Church Hill, Queenstown
and Sudlersville, insofar as the same are inconsistent with
the provisions hereof, are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

177 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-
title "Fire Escapes", directing the County Commission-
ers of Allegany County to prescribe rules and regulations
