not to exceed fifteen (15) days in any one year. Any mem-
ber of the Fire Department may accumulate unused sick
leave, from year to year, up to sixty days and may use the
same for sick leave at any time.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 870.
(Senate Bill 485)
AN ACT to add three new Sections to Article 93 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Tes-
tamentary Law, " said new Sections to be known as Sec-
tions 345A, 345B, and 345C respectively, and to follow
immediately after Section 345 of said Article, providing
for the release, in whole or in part, of Powers of Ap-
pointment, certain methods by which such releases may
be effected, and providing for the recordation and index-
ing of such releases as may be recorded.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new Sections be and they hereby are
added to Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " said new Sec-
tions to be known as Sections 345A, 345B, and 345C, re-
spectively, to follow immediately after Section 345 of said
Article and to read as follows:
345A. Unless the instrument creating the same specifi-
cally provides to the contrary, a power of appointment of
any kind or character, whether now existing or hereafter
created by deed, by will or otherwise, and whether exer-
cisable by deed, by will, by deed or will or otherwise, may,
at one time or from time to time, as to all or any part of
the property, real, personal and mixed, subject to such
power, be released in whole or in part and if in part, in such
manner as to limit the persons or objects, or classes of
persons or objects, in whose favor such power would other-
wise be exercisable; such release shall be effected by a
written instrument, signed by the donee or grantee, or by
the guardian or other legal representative of the estate of
any donee or grantee who is a minor or otherwise in-
capacitated, and attested by two witnesses; such
written instrument shall be sufficient if it recites
