have been or may hereafter be redeemed and paid by the
State Fiscal Agent and returned by him to the treasury;
and during each regular biennial session of the General
Assembly the Comptroller and the Treasurer shall, in the
presence of the Committee on Finance of the Senate and
the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Dele-
gates, cremate or burn all of said bonds and coupons which
have been returned up to the close of the last fiscal year,
and enter appropriate cremation certificates on the records;
and the treasurer shall thereupon file with the presiding
officers of the two houses of the General Assembly a sum-
marized report showing the amount of bonds and coupons
so destroyed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 803.
(Senate Bill 387)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
112 of Article 83 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, as enacted by Chapter 330 of the Acts of 1941,
title "Sales and Notices", sub-title "Fair Trade Act",
providing for Fair Trade practices.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 112 of Article 83 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, as enacted by Chapter
330 of the Acts of 1941, title "Sales and Notices", sub-title
"Fair Trade Act", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:

112. When used in this Act the following terms shall
have the following meanings:

(a) "Cost to the Retailer" shall mean the invoice price
of the merchandise to the retailer or the replacement cost
of the merchandise to the retailer, whichever is lower, less
all trade discounts except customary discounts for cash; to
which shall be added:

(1) Freight charges not otherwise included in the in-
voice cost or the replacement cost of the merchandise, as
herein set forth, and
