sub-title "Continuance", relating to continuance of suits or
proceedings when the Legislative Council, or any sub-com-
mittee, is meeting, when one of the attorneys is a member
of said Council or sub-committee.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 75 of Article 75 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Pleadings, Practice and
Process at Law", sub-title "Continuance", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
75. When it shall appear that any attorney of record of
any party to any suit or proceeding at law or in equity is a
member of the General Assembly of Maryland, and that said
General Assembly of Maryland shall then be in session, such
suit or proceeding shall be continued from time to time until
said General Assembly of Maryland shall have adjourned, un-
less such attorney shall upon the call of such suit or proceed-
ing for trial waive the benefit of this Section. When it shall
appear that any attorney of record of any party to any suit
or proceeding at law or in equity is a member of the Legisla-
tive Council of Maryland, or one of its sub-committees, such
suit or proceeding shall be continued when the said Legislative
Council, or said sub-committee, as the case may be, is holding
a meeting, unless such attorney shall upon the call of such suit
or proceeding for trial waive the benefit of this provision.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 38
of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Chancery", sub-title "Divorce", as said section
was amended by Chapter 516 of the Acts of 1941, relating
to suits against non-residents.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 38 of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Chancery", sub-title "Divorce",
