SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 794.
(Senate Bill 362)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 26 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Courts",
sub-title "Court of Appeals", said new section to be
known as Section 40-A and to follow immediately after
Section 40 of said Article, authorizing the Judges of the
Court of Appeals to appoint a Law Clerk and providing
for his compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Courts", sub-title "Court of Appeals", said
new section to be known as Section 40-A, to follow im-
mediately after Section 40 of said Article, and to read as
follows:
40-A. The Judges of the Court of Appeals are author-
ized to appoint a Law Clerk to the Court, who shall perform
such duties as may be prescribed by said Court, and who
shall receive a salary of not less than Three Thousand
Dollars ($3, 000. 00) per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sub-
section (15) of Section 13 of Article 2B of Chapter 849
of the Acts of 1941, title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Form of Application", to provide qualifications for sign-
ers of applications in Baltimore City and the several
Counties.
