Commission, " said new section to be known as Section
7A, and to follow immediately after Section 7 of said
Article, authorizing the Maryland Racing Commission,
in its discretion, to increase the number of days on which
race meetings may be conducted at any track, to regulate
the number of race meetings in any year and to refund
license fees under certain conditions.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 110 of Article 52 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title
Trial Magistrates System", as said section was amended
by Chapter 349 of the Acts of 1941, providing for an
increase in salary for the Substitute Trial Magistrate
of Prince George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 110 of Article 52 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Justices of the
Peace, " sub-title "Trial Magistrates System, " as said sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 349 of the Acts of 1941, be,
and the same is hereby, repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
110. (Substitute Magistrates. ) In addition to the
justices of the peace and justices of the peace at large
hereinbefore specified, the Governor, by and with the ad-
vice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint one justice
of the peace at large for each county of the State who shall
be designated "Substitute Trial Magistrate. " Such mag-
istrate shall post the bond required of trial magistrates and
shall receive a salary of $100. 00 per year, except the sub-
stitute magistrate appointed for Baltimore County, who
shall receive $1, 000. 00 per year in addition to the compen-
sation received when actually sitting as a substitute as
hereinafter provided, and except the substitute magistrate
appointed for Prince George's County, who shall receive
$1, 300. 00 per year, in addition to the compensation re-
ceived when actually sitting as a substitute as hereinafter
provided.
