added to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(Flack 1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", said new sections to be
known as 573-A and 573-B, and to follow immediately
after Section 573 of said Article, and to read as follows:

573-A. Nothing contained in Section 560 of this Article
shall be construed to prohibit or make unlawful the exhi-
bition of Motion Pictures within the limits of the incorpor-
ated Town of Aberdeen, Harford County, between the hours
of 1 P. M. and 7 P. M. and after 8. 30 P. M. on the first
day of the week, commonly called "Sunday", whether the
same be exhibited with or without a charge or admission
fee; provided however, that it shall be unlawful for any
person or persons to permit any child twelve years of age
or younger, to attend the exhibition of Motion Pictures
within said areas, at any time on Sundays, unless accom-
panied by an adult member of the family; and it shall be
unlawful for any person or persons to exhibit Motion Pic-
tures in said areas before 1 o'clock P. M. or between the
hours of 7 P. M. and 8. 30 P. M. on Sundays. The work
or employment of any operator, ticket seller, or other em-
ployee, or attendant, in connection with such exhibition,
shall not be unlawful because performed on Sunday, within
the limits -and boundaries of said incorporated Town. and
City, of Harford County.

573-B. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of Section 573-A shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be
subject to a fine of hot more than Five hundred dollars
($500. 00) for every such violation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
in effect only during the continuance of the existing state of
war between the United States, Germany, Japan and Italy,
and during any prolongation thereof with any one of such
Nations, and/or with any other foreign country, and for
six months after the termination thereof, by the signing
of a definite treaty of peace.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Commis-
sioners of Aberdeen shall call a special election to be held
on the 5th day of June, 1943, during the hours 12 M. and
9 P. M., which election shall be conducted under the same
law, from the same voting list, in the same manner, and
by the same persons as elections are now conducted in said
Town for the election of Town Commissioners. The bal-
lots for said election shall be provided as are ballots now
for said Town Election, and shall have printed on them:
