CHAPTER 142.
(House Bill 287)

AN ACT to authorize Cornelius B. Watson to construct and
maintain a bridge over Fore Creek to connect his farm
known as the Comegy's Bight Farm on the east side of Fore
Creek with his farm known as Forest Dean on the west side
of Fore Creek, all in Kent County, State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Cornelius B. Watson is hereby authorized to con-
struct and maintain a bridge over Fore Creek in Kent County,
State of Maryland, from a point on the east side of said Creek
from his Comegy's Bight to his Forest Dean Farm on the west
side thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bridge
shall be constructed and maintained in such manner as not
to interfere with navigation in said Creek, and that one span
of said bridge shall be of sufficient height and length to permit
creek traffic, whose draft can use the waters thereof.

SEC. 3 And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act are subject to all valid applicable provisions of laws
of the United States, concerning bridges over navigable waters
of the United States.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1943.
