tion is payable. Such loan shall be governed by and subject to
the provisions of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 19 of said
Article 58A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Loans—Petty", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 757.
(Senate Bill 57)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
108 and 109 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title
"Destroying Property Maliciously", relating to the penalty
for violating said sections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 108 and 109 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Destroying Property Maliciously", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

108. Any person who shall enter any dwelling-house, out-
house, stable, barn, warehouse, storehouse, banking-house,
factory, workshop, court house, school house, mill house,
church, or any building occupied in part or in whole by any
of the public, municipal, or private corporations of the State,
or upon any vessel, or upon any yard where lumber, coal or
any sort of goods and chattels are deposited or kept for the
purpose of trade, or upon any property or land, with the in-
tent maliciously to injure or destroy any of the buildings
aforesaid, or any part thereof, or any furniture, property or
effects therein or thereon being found, or any property or
effects deposited or kept in, or upon any vessel or yard, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall, in
the discretion of the court, be sentenced to the house of correc-
tion or to the city or county jail not exceeding three years, or
be fined not more than one hundred dollars, or be both fined
and imprisoned as aforesaid.
