ister his name as a qualified voter, and any person
aggrieved by the acton of the register in striking his name
from the list of qualified voters, may appeal to the Mayor,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to hear such appeal
and to make such correction in the registration list, by the
hand of the Town Clerk, as justice and right in his judg-
ment shall require. Such officers of registration shall have
during the appointed time of their respective sittings, in
addition to the duties and authority hereinbefore given
them such powers as are conferred on officers of registra-
tion by Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland.

QUALIFICATION OF VOTERS

(4) The male and female inhabitants of said town, who
at the date of any municipal election therein are respec-
tively twenty-one years of age, and qualified and entitled
to vote under the Constitution and laws of the State of
Maryland at any State election held in the State of Mary-
land and have been bona fide residents of the town for one
year and of the ward wherein they propose to vote for
thirty days preceding such election, and who are registered
as hereinbefore provided, shall be entitled to vote at any
Municipal election.

NOMINATIONS

(5) Nominations of candidates for Mayor and Council-
men shall be made by petition, provided that the said peti-
tion for that purpose be signed by twenty voters who are
real estate taxpayers for Mayor and ten voters who are
real estate taxpayers for Councilmen and filed with the
said clerk ten days before the day of election. But the
signers of these petitions must be qualified to vote for the
person whose name is presented for a place on the official
ballot, and at least one of them shall make oath that he is
informed and believes all the signers thereof have duly
signed the petition, which oath shall be appended to the
petition. The petition of the Mayor shall be accompanied
by a filing fee of ten ($10. 00) dollars. The petition of a
Councilman shall be accompanied by a filing fee of $5. 00.

ELECTIONS

(6) On the first Tuesday in August in the year nineteen
hundred and forty-four there shall be selected by the quali-
fied voters of the town of Brunswick a Mayor who shall
have certain qualifications as hereinafter prescribed, and
who shall hold office for a term of two years or until his
