SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET—CONTINGENT APPROPRIATIONS—
GENERAL AND SPECIAL FUNDS.
1. Contingent upon the passage of Senate Bill No. 147, there is hereby appropriated to
the Boards of Education of Baltimore City and the Counties for the purpose of paying
bonuses to teachers in accordance with the provisions of Senate Bill No. 147, during
the period of ten months, beginning July 1, 1943, at the rate of $20.00 per month;
the unexpended part of this amount at June 30, 1944, to be carried forward to the
succeeding .fiscal year for the purpose of continuing the payments to teachers until
the provisions of said legislation have been fulfilled. The amount hereby appro-
priated to also include reimbursements to Baltimore City and the Counties to the
extent of $27.00 per teacher where said City and Counties shall have paid salaries
to teachers over and above the regular salaries payable during the period between
July 1, 1942, and July 1, 1944, equal to or in excess of $140.00 per teacher, and to
also include bonuses to employees of State Departments, whether paid from General
or Special Funds, and employees of the offices of Clerks of Court and Registers of
Wills on the same basis as employees of State Departments:

Amount payable from General Funds.................................. $2,600,000.00
Amount payable from Special Funds, this amount being an estimate, it
being the intention that the amount to be paid shall be that deter-
mined upon submission of statements from the State Departments
whose appropriations are payable out of Special Funds, showing the
actual amount necessary to give effect to the provisions of the bonus
law ...'..........................................................$ 357,800.00

(Senate Bill 142)
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 16 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Chan-
cery", sub-title "Trustee", said new section to be known
as Section 259-A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 259 of said Article, providing for the filing of a
bond by any trustee appointed by will or deed when
the testator or grantor provides therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
