CHAPTER 122.
(Senate Bill 187)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
67 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " as said section was
amended by Chapter 78 of the Acts of 1933, increasing
the compensation of the County Commissioners of Talbot
County.
Whereas, the compensation of the County Commission-
ers of Talbot County were decreased by Chapter 78 of the
Acts of 1933; and
Whereas, this compensation should now be restored;
therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 67 of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Tal-
bot County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " as said sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 78 of the Acts of 1933,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
67. The County Commissioners of Talbot County
shall each receive in lieu of the per diem and mileage
provided in Section 65, an annual salary of Seven Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($750. 00) payable quarterly, and all
necessary traveling expenses when traveling on county
business outside of the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members of each of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
