Senator Byrnes asked that the rules be suspended in order to
report the following bill, and two-thirds of the Senators-elect, voting
in the affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Senators:

President, Bailey, Balch, Barton, Beck, Byrnes, Carter, Davis, Della,
Ellison, Fraley, Goldstein, Hoff, Hofferbert, Guy Johnson, Kimble, McAllister,
McLaughlin, Monroe, O'Neill, Phoebus, Shallcross, Storm, Stromberg, Stro-
meyer, Thomas, Turnbull, White. Total—28

NEGATIVE—NONE .

The rules being suspended, Senator Byrnes, for the Committee
on Finance, reported favorably,

House Bill No. 2—By the Speaker :

Subject: "REVENUE AND TAXES", sub-title "MARYLAND
USE TAX", sub-heading "IMPOSITION OF TAX", EXEMPTING
CERTAIN SALES FROM IMPOSITION OF TAX.

Favorable report adopted.

The 'bill was read the second Ume and .ordered printed for its
third reading.

Upon further motion of Senator Byrnes, and two-thirds of all
the Senators-elect, voting in the affirmative, the rules were sus-
pended by yeas and nays as follows, to put said bill upon its third
reading and final passage.
