in which said deceased or sick juror resided, in the man-
ner directed, other names in the place or stead of the orig-
inal who may be dead, disabled or absent, and shall have
the name or names of such person or persons so last afore-
said drawn to be inserted in the said venire facias to be
summoned as aforesaid; and it shall be the duty of the
said sheriff to summon the persons named and to make re-
turn thereof to said court at the opening of its session; pro-
vided, however, that no person, during any calendar year,
shall serve as a drawn juror oftener than one term of the
court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 75.
(Senate Bill 148)

AN ACT to repeal and reenact with amendments Section
102 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-
title "County Treasurer", as said section was amended
by Chapter 199 of the Acts of 1937, and to add a new
section to said Article, to be known as Section 102A,
relating to the levy and payment of taxes, the discount
to be allowed for the prompt payment of taxes and lim-
iting the amount which the County Commissioners of
Garrett County may appropriate or levy as a contingent
fund.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 102 of Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Gar-
rett County", sub-title "County Treasurer'', as said section
was amended by Chapter 199 of the Acts of 1937, be and
it is hereby repealed and reenacted with amendments, and
a new section, to be known as Section 102A, be and it is
hereby added to said Article, and all to read as follows:

102. All taxes shall be levied for the calendar year, and
as of the first day of January of such year as the date of
finality, The County Commissioners shall fix the rate of
County taxation for such year on or before the fifteenth
day of January; all County taxes shall be due and payable
