WHEREAS, He continued to work for the State Roads
Commission in various capacities until he was forced to
retire in April, 1939, and
WHEREAS, Such retirement was a result of his physical
disability, and
WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the State Retire-
ment System has refused to grant him any retirement al-
lowance, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Trustees of the State Re-
tirement System be and it is hereby directed to pay Paul
C. Dogge, in semi-monthly installments, an annual retire-
ment allowance equal to that payable to any employee re-
tired on account of accidental disability pursuant to
Section 4 of Article 73B, namely, one-half of the annual
salary received by him at the time of his retirement.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
9 of Article 62 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Marriages", relating to false statements
in connection with marriages.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 9 of Article 62 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Marriages", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
to read as follows:
9. (a) Any person violating the provisions of Sections
7 and 8 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convic-
tion thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25. 00
and not more than $250. 00.
(b) Any person who shall knowingly make any material
false statement to procure, or to assist any other person
to procure, any license or marriage ceremony in violation
of the provisions of this Article, or any order of court pur-
