365. No police justice of the City of Baltimore shall accept
bail for persons charged with manslaughter, other than charge
for manslaughter arising out of a motor vehicle accident,
murder or any offense the punishment for which may be
death; any such justice may, in his discretion, accept the bail
for any person charged with the commission of any felony
other than those above mentioned, and any misdemeanor the
punishment for which may be confinement in the penitentiary;
and whenever bail is offered for any person charged with the
commission of any misdemeanor other than those already set
forth, such justice shall accept the same; provided he is satis-
fied with the security offered.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 463.
(House Bill 174)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter
(1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Special
Fund", said new section to be known as Section 940A and to
follow immediately after Section 940 of said Article, pro-
viding for the payment of contributions by police officers to
the Special Fund to the widows of officers who die while in
military or naval service of the United States.
