the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "Maryland-Washington Regional
District", said new section to be known as Section 690A,
and to follow immediately after Section 690 of said Article,
relating to the application of the Montgomery County Build-
ing Code in the Maryland-Washington Regional District.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edi-
tion—being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland) title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Maryland-
Washington Regional District',, said new section to be known
as Section 690A, to follow immediately after Section 690 of
said Article, and to read as follows:
690A. The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County may, in their discretion, by a duly recorded resolu-
tion adopted by a majority vote at a regular meeting of said
Board, make its rules and regulations commonly known as
"The Building Code" effective in that part of the Maryland-
Washington Regional District which now lies or hereafter
may lie within Montgomery County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
258 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Income
Tax", relating to the distribution of the local share of the
income tax proceeds in Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 258 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-
title "Income Tax", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
258. (Distribution of Tax. ) One-fourth (%) of the taxes
collected under this sub-title from individual residents of Bal-
