CHAPTER 353.
(Senate Bill 365)
AN ACT relating to the retirement and pensioning of John
J. Hartnett, Court Stenographer of the Second Judicial
Circuit.
WHEREAS, John J. Hartnett has faithfully served for
more than twenty-five years as the Court Stenographer
for. the Second Judicial Circuit of this State, and
WHEREAS, He is now incapacitated and unable to carry
on his work, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Judges of the Second Judicial Circuit
be and they are hereby authorized to retire John J. Hart-
nett, the Court Stenographer for the Circuit, upon a pen-
sion of one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125. 00) per
month during the remainder of his life. The pension shall
be paid by the County Commissioners of the Counties in
the Second Circuit, and each County shall contribute the
same proportion of the pension as it now contributes to
his salary.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
Section 24 of Article 88B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Police", relating
to the enforcement of the motor vehicle laws in the mu-
nicipalities of the State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 24 of Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Police", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
