made them shall be subject to cross examination by both
parties. If the complainant or her child fail to submit to the
blood tests ordered by the court to be taken, such fact, when
properly adduced by evidence, shall be disclosed to the court
and jury, and may be commented upon by the court or by
counsel to the jury or to the court when sitting as a jury.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
780, 782 and 791 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mont-
gomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Police", and to add a new section to said
Article, said new section to be known as Section 800A, and
to follow immediately after Section 800 of said Article, re-
lating to the Montgomery County Police Force.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted Toy the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 780, 782 and 791 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Police", be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that
a new section be and it is hereby added to said Article, said
new section to be known as Section 800A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 800 of said Article, and all to read as
follows:
780. The County Commissioners of Montgomery County are
hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to appoint
sixty-four (64) police officers for Montgomery County at
large, said police officers so appointed to be residents of
Montgomery County, except as hereinafter provided and to
be known and designated as "Montgomery County Police";
provided, however, that the police officers who were members
of the Montgomery County Police force on January 1, 1941,
shall be among the members so appointed. In addition to the
Montgomery County Police, said County Commissioners are
authorized and empowered from time to time to appoint not to
