of the Court. In assessing the penalty, the Court shall take
into consideration the amount of money fraudulently received.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 30 of said
Article 88A of the Annotated Code of Maryland be and the
same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 85
of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "County
Treasurer", changing the time when the County Treasurer
shall take office. e

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 85 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County",
sub-title "County Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

85. At the general election on the Tuesday after the first
Monday in November, 1942, and every four years there-
after, a County Treasurer shall be elected by the qualified
voters of Charles County, who shall hold office for the term of
four years from the fifteenth day of May next follow-
ing his election and until his successor shall qualify, who
shall be ineligible for re-election until after an interval of
one full term and until he shall have fully settled up all busi-
ness connected with his former term.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.
