by the Sheriff of Anie Arundel County for the costs, ex-
penses accumulated as a result of such removal, storage,
notice and other costs. The purchaser shall acquire a good
and merchantable title thereto, subject however, to all prior
record liens thereon. Any money received from the sale
of said vehicle in excess of the amount of said lien and the
costs of sale, shall be paid to the owner of said vehicle, or
if said owner be unknown then to the Circuit Court of
Anne Arundel County for such unknown owner.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 184.

(Senate Bill 289)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Crisfield, a municipal corporation of the State of
Maryland, to borrow on its faith and credit the sum of
Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00) and to issue cou-
pon bonds therefor and to sell the same, the proceeds
arising from the sale thereof to be used for the repair
and improvement of Somerset Avenue, a public highway
within the corporate limits of said municipality, the bal-
ance of the proceeds of the sale of said bonds, if any,
to be used for the repair and improvement of any other
public street within the corporate limits of said City,
at the discretion of the Mayor and Council of Crisfield,
and to provide for the levying of annual taxes, with-
out limitation as to rate or amount, upon all the assess-
able property within the corporate limits of said munici-
pality, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and to
provide for the redemption thereof at maturity.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Council of Crisfield, a mu-
nicipal corporation of the State of Maryland, be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow upon its full
faith and credit the sum of Fifteen thousand dollars
($15, 000. 00) and to evidence said borrowing by the
issue of its negotiable coupon bonds of like par amount in
form and tenor as hereinafter provided, the proceeds of
said borrowing to be expended upon the improvement and
and repair of Somerset Avenue, a public highway in said
