CHAPTER 936.
(House Bill 537)

AN ACT to add five new sections to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Roads",
to be under sub-title "Dual Highway Bonds", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 149 to 153, inclusive, and to
follow immediately after Section 148 of said Article, author-
ing the State Roads Commission to borrow not exceeding
13, 500, 000 for the purpose of constructing a State Dual
Highway from Bel Air to the Pennsylvania State Line via
the Conowingo Bridge, and to issue its promissory note or
notes, bond or bonds or other evidences of indebtedness; to
authorize the said State Roads Commission to levy and col-
lect tolls for the use of the Conowingo Bridge in order to
provide revenue to provide for repayment of the money so
borrowed, together with the interest thereon.

CHAPTER 937.
(House Bill 84)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title
"Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "Public Motor Vehicles
Exempted'', said new section to be known as Section 148A
and to follow immediately after Section 148 of said Article,
providing that any motor vehicle and trailer known as the
"40-8 box car" owned and operated by the American Legion
shall be exempted from registration fees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "Public
Motor Vehicles Exempted", said new section to be known as
Section 148A, to follow immediately after Section 148 of said
Article, and to read as follows:

148A. Any motor vehicle and trailer, known as the "4. 0-8
box car", and owned and operated exclusively for social or
