election day, and a correct list of the names of the candidates
thereon with the designation of the office for which the persons
are candidates shall be furnished by said Board of Election
Supervisors to any qualified voter on demand. It shall be the
duty of the said Board of Election Supervisors to correct im-
mediately any mistakes that may be discovered in said ballot
without delay.

SEC. 29. The form and arrangement of the official ballot
shall be the same as is now or may hereafter be provided by
law for State and County Elections, except there shall be no
party name or designation on said ballot. Said ballots shall
be of uniform size and printed upon plain white opaque paper
in black ink, in clear, legible and uniform type. The Board
of Election Supervisors shall at least four days prior to the
day of election cause an accurate sample copy of the official
ballot to be posted in four or more public places in the City,
said sample copies to be printed on cardboard, and at least
one of said sample copies shall be placed on the exterior of
the building in which the election is to be held. And the said
Board shall publish an accurate copy of the official ballot in
two newspapers of the City, if so many be published there-
in, by at least one insertion in said papers before the day of
election. The said Board shall furnish for and at the expense
of the City a number of ballots equal to twice the number of
registered voters in said City

MAYOR.

SEC. 30. The Mayor shall be a person of known integrity,
experience and sound judgment, not less than thirty years of
age, ten years a citizen of the United States, and five years a
resident of Havre de Grace next preceding the election and for
one year next preceding his election be assessed upon the
assessment books of said City either individually or jointly
with his wife with real property to an amount of not less
than Two Thousand ($2, 000. 00) Dollars. Beginning with an
election on the first Monday in May, 1941, and on the same day
and month every fourth year thereafter, the Mayor will be
elected by ballot for a period of two years. He shall begin
his term and take the oath hereinafter prescribed on the third
Monday of May following such election at which time, or as
soon as convenient thereafter, the names of all candidates for
appointed offices shall be submitted to the City Council by the
Mayor for confirmation or rejection. Other names than those
rejected should be submitted promptly by the Mayor until all
said vacancies are filled.

SEC. 31. The Mayor by virtue of his office shall preside over
all meetings of the City Council and see that the Ordinances
