court), the treasurer shall, by a good and sufficient deed, to
be executed and acknowledged according to law, and at the
request and cost of the purchaser, convey to the purchaser or
purchasers the parcels of land so sold; and if the treasurer mak-
any of such sales shall die, remove from the county or cease
to be treasurer by reason of the expiration of his term of
office, or for any cause, the treasurer of said county then in
office shall execute such deed as fully and effectually as the
collector or treasurer making such sale might or could have
done; or in the event that there be no treasurer the Circuit
Court for Montgomery County shall appoint some person to
convey the same.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 917.
(House Bill 711)

AN ACT to authorize the creation of special improvements
districts or areas in Prince George's County; to provide for
the government thereof by the Board of County Commis-
sioners and certain improvements or municipal functions
within said districts or areas; and payments therefor by a
special assessment or ad valorem tax levied against prop-
erties in said area or district; and to authorize the said
Board of County Commissioners to borrow money upon
the faith and credit of Prince George's County for the pur-
poses set forth herein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That twenty-five (25) or more citizens of Prince George's
County, and resident property owners, outside the bounda-
ries of any incorporated municipality, within subdivisions
of land, and adjacent or contiguous subdivisions, or within
logical or natural boundaries, may petition the Board of
County Commissioners of Prince George's County for the
creation of a special improvement district, and, if, as the re-
sult of a public hearing, to be held after such notice as the
said Commissioners determine to give, it seems, in the interest
of public convenience, the said Commissioners determine that
the creation of said district is desirable, or necessary, they
shall so ordain and determine the boundaries of said district
and designate it by name or number.
