No person shall possess at any time a light for the purpose
of hunting muskrats at night time. Possession of such a light
shall be prima facie evidence that it was intended for such
purpose.
A landowner and his lessee shall have the exclusive right to
trap for muskrats down to the mean low water mark on marsh
land adjacent to his land. No person shall enter upon or
place traps upon any such land without first obtaining the
written consent of the landowner or his lessee.
(c) No person may pursue or kill any otter in this State at
any time,
(d) No person may hunt any raccoon or opossum except
after sunset and before sunrise on any day between November
1 and the next succeeding January 31, inclusive. No person
may cut a tree for the purpose of catching, killing or dislodg-
ing a raccoon or opossum without the consent of the owner of
such tree. No person may at any time set or otherwise use
any steel trap or other similar device to catch any raccoon or
opossum.
The owner of any dog may, between October 1 and October
20, inclusive, train such dog on a raccoon or opossum, if an
attendant accompanies such dog, but such attendant may not
carry a gun or any other firearms, or climbers or an ax.
No person may between February 1 and October 31, in-
clusive, shake or throw out of any tree or hollow any raccoon
or opossum.
No person may have any raccoon or opossum (dead or alive)
in his possession, except for business purposes, unless he first
procures a permit from the State Game Warden.
Any raccoon which destroys a muskrat or its home in the
marsh areas of this State may be hunted or killed at any time.
It shall be lawful for any owner of an impounded lake to kill
muskrat which are destroying their embankments or dam of
said lake or lakes at any time.
(e) Any person found guilty before any Justice of the
Peace of this State of violating any provision of this sub-title,
shall be fined not less than Twenty-five ($25. 00) Dollars nor
more than One Hundred ($100. 00) Dollars for each and every
offense, and in addition to said fine shall be fined Five Dollars
($5. 00) for each skin in his possession in violation of this sub-
title. All such skins, pelts or meats or illegal devices found
in any person's possession in violation of this sub-title shall be
confiscated by the officers making the arrest and turned over
to the Game Warden who may dispose of same as he may
deem advisable to the best interest of this State.
Any person who shall fail to pay the fine so imposed, shall
stand committed to jail until the fine and costs shall have
