use by them only in performing the duties imposed by this
sub-title, and the County Commissioners shall pay all mainte-
nance and operation costs, including insurance, on such auto-
mobiles.
190-1. The Board of County Commissioners is hereby di-
rected to include in each annual levy of taxes such sum as
may be necessary to pay the salaries of the members, deputies
and other employees of the Board of Assessment, the costs of
publications and automobiles herein authorized, stationery,
and all other expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of
this Act.
190J. Nothing in this sub-heading shall be construed to
reduce or restrict the authority of the Board of County Com-
missioners as set forth in Section 30 of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That, except as elsewhere
provided in this Act, all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act be and they are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections 4
and 5 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title Insurance De-
partment", relating to the compensation of the Insurance
Commissioner and the Deputy Insurance Commissioner.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 4 and 5 of Article 48A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title
"Insurance Department", be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows.
4. Qualifications; Compensation; Bond. No person who
