with the provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That notwithstanding
any other provisions of this Act no State taxes which became
due prior to the passage of this Act shall be barred by limita-
tions if an action at law or suit in equity to collect the same
be commenced within four years from the date of the passage
of this Act.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1941, except that Sections 162A to 162E, in-
clusive, of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), as enacted by Section 5 of this Act, shall not be
effective so as to permit the allowance of any claim for the re-
fund of special taxes, fees, charges, penalties or interest paid
prior to October 1, 1940.

CHAPTER 702.
(House Bill 780)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
333, 337 and 338 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, (1989 Edition, title "Health", sub-title "Under-
takers", and to add a new section to said Article and sub-
title, to be known as Section 338A and to follow immedi-
ately after Section 338 of said Article, relating to appeals
from the action of the State Board of Funeral Directors
and Embalmers in suspending or revoking the licenses pro-
vided for in said Article and sub-title.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 333, 337 and 338 of Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health",
sub-title "Undertakers", be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

333. Before any person shall hereafter engage in the busi-
ness of Funeral Directing in this State and before any person,
co-partnership or corporation now so engaged in said business
in this State, who shall fail to register with said Board in
accordance with Section 332 of this sub-title, shall continue
to carry on said business of Funeral Directing in this State,
