1202 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 694

Any person guilty of violating any provision of this section
shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than Fifty Dollars
($50. 00) for each and every offense and in addition shall be
fined Two Dollars ($2. 00) for each and every such skin in
possession in violation of this sub-title.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 694.
(House Bill 525)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-sec-
tion (a) of Section 11 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Water Fowl—Birds and
Game", sub-title "Game and Inland Fish Commission", re-
lating to the search of automobiles for illegal game in Gar-
rett, Allegany, Frederick and Washington Counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (a) of Section 11 of Article 99 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Water
Fowl—Birds and Game77, sub-title "Game and Inland Fish
Commission", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

11.

(a) Provided, however, that if the Game Warden or one of
his salaried Deputies has reason to believe that game, fish or
unlawful device are in possession in violation of the game or
fish laws of this State, and, in his opinion, it is not possible
or practical to secure a search warrant in time to seize said
game, fish or unlawful devices so in possession, then he may
without a warrant examine any boat, railway car, box, crate,
package or game bag, and in Garrett, Allegany, Frederick and
Washington Counties, when dressed in uniform or accom-
panied by a uniformed police officer, may stop and/or search
an automobile for the purpose of examining the game or fish
bag, also to be sure the hunter or angler has conformed to the
law by having the proper hunter's or angler's license in posses-
sion and may seize any game, fish or unlawful device so found
in possession in violation of the law; and any game, fish or
unlawful device so taken shall be disposed of by the Game
