Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", shall be re-
pealed in so far as said sections prohibit amusements,
entertainments or games, and the sale at retail of merchan-
dise in the Town of Ocean City on Sunday; and to provide
for the time when and the conditions under which such
repeal shall take effect.

CHAPTER 261.
(House Bill 449)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
1 and 2 of Chapter 373 of the Acts of 1937 and to repeal
Sections 5 and 6 of said Act, to direct the Commissioners of
St. Michaels to issue certain notes, bonds or other certifi-
cates of indebtedness for the purchase of a site for and for
the construction and equipment of a municipal fire house.

CHAPTER 262.
(House Bill 459)

AN ACT to provide for the appointment by the Governor of
an unpaid Commission to revise the revenue and tax laws
of the State of Maryland and to define its powers and duties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the Governor shall, on or before September 1st,
1939, appoint not less than five nor more than ten persons
who shall constitute a Commission to be called the "Maryland
Tax Revision Commission of 1939. " The members of the said
Commission shall serve without pay and not more than two-
thirds of them shall be members of the same political party.
The Governor may at any time remove any of said members
for neglect of duty or misconduct in office.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty
of said Commission to investigate thoroughly the systems of
State, county and municipal taxation in force in this State,
including direct and indirect taxation, licenses, valuations and
