as Section 37A and to follow immediately after Section 37
of said Article, to empower the State Board of Health to
establish minimum standards and qualifications for labora-
tories in the counties of Maryland, which make examina-
tions in connection with diagnosis and control of human
diseases.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Health", sub-title "Miscellaneous Provisions", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 37A and to follow immediately
after Section 37 of said Article and to read as follows:
37A. The State Board of Health is hereby authorized and
empowered to establish such minimum standards and quali-
fications as they may consider necessary for any laboratories
in the counties of the State, but not in Baltimore City, which
make examinations in connection with the diagnosis and con-
trol of human diseases.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
. effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
998 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1030 Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District" relating to the
duties of the Treasurers of the Counties of Prince George's
and Montgomery with respect to the Washington Suburban
Sanitary Commission.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 998 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
to read as follows:
998. The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission shall
cause to be stamped upon the Treasurer's Books of the respec-
