County Departments to the State Department and, when
approved, warrants shall be issued monthly by the State
Comptroller, payable to the proper fiscal officers of the re-
spective counties and of Baltimore City, or to the County
Departments as the Board of State Aid and Charities may
direct, covering the allocations made to the respective County
Departments.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1939.

(House Bill 28)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
22 (c), 23 (a), and 30 of Article 88A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1935 Supplement), as amended by Chapter
148 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland at the
Special Session of 1936, and by Chapter 39 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland at the Regular Session
of 1937, and by Chapter 3 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland at the Special Session of 1937, title "State
Aid and Charities", sub-title "Aid To Dependent Children".
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 22(c), 23 (a), and 30 of Article 88A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), as
amended by Chapter 148 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland at the Special Session of 1936, and by Chapter
39 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland at the
Regular Session of 1937, and by Chapter 3 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland at the Special Session of 1937,
title "State Aid and Charities", sub-title "Aid To Dependent
Children", be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
22. Local Units shall (c) Submit annually to the County
Commissioners or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
as the case may be, after approval by the State Department,
a budget containing an estimate and supporting data setting
forth the amount of money needed to carry out the provisions
of this sub-title.
