prisoned in jail for not less than ten days nor more than
sixty days, or be both fined and imprisoned in the discretion
of the court; but if any minor shall wilfully represent that he
is of full age and thereby shall obtain any spirituous liquors,
and the person selling the same shall be able to prove at his
or her trial such misrepresentation, and that he or she used
due caution in ascertaining the age of such minor before dis-
posing of the liquor as aforesaid to said minor, then the per-
son so selling to such minor, shall be acquitted of the said
charge, the minor obtaining spirituous liquor by such mis-
representation of his or her age shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor and upon trial and conviction before any justice of
the peace shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than ten
dollars, nor more than twenty dollars and the costs of his
prosecution, or upon failure to pay such fine and costs of his
prosecution, or upon failure to pay such fine and costs shall
be committed to jail for a period not less than five days nor
more than twenty days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 212.
(House Bill 369)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Fred-
erick County", sub-title "Law Library", said new section to
be known as Section 498A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 498 of said Article, to authorize and direct the County
Commissioners of Frederick County to levy such sum of
money annually as in their discretion may be necessary for
the maintenance and enlargement of the law library of the
Circuit Court for Frederick County, said money to be ex-
pended for such purpose under the direction of any judge or
judges of said Court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Frederick County", subtitle "Law Library", said
new section to be known as Section 498A to follow immediately
after Section 498 of said Article, and to read as follows:
