be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 111.
(Senate Bill 255)
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Crisfield
to issue bonds to the amount of forty-five thousand dol-
lars ($45, 000) to refund bonds to the amount of twenty-
five thousand dollars ($25, 000) maturing June 1st, 1939,
and twenty thousand dollars ($20, 000) of bonds matur-
ing September 1st, 1939, and to provide for the levying
of taxes upon the property of said town to pay the inter-
est thereon.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and Council of Crisfield issued
twenty-five thousand dollars ($25, 000) of bonds under
authority of Ordinance No. 64, approved May 14th, 1919,
the said ordinance having been passed under order of the
State Board of Health, dated March 25th, 1919, and said
bonds maturing June 1st, 1939, and
WHEREAS, The said Mayor and Council of Crisfield
issued twenty thousand dollars ($20, 000) of refunding
bonds under authority of Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1918,
the said bonds maturing September 1st, 1939, and
WHEREAS, It is desirable and to the interest of said
city of Crisfield that the said bonds be refunded, the time
of payment extended and new bonds issued, therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That, for the purpose of redeeming the bonds
issued under authority of Ordinance No. 64, approved May
14th, 1919, and the refunding bonds to the amount of
$20, 000 issued under authority of Chapter 11 of the Acts
of 1918, the Mayor and Council of Crisfield be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered to issue bonds on the
faith and credit of said municipal corporation in the sum
of forty-five thousand dollars ($45, 000). The proceeds
