County Commissioners of any County shall avail them-
selves of the provisions of Sub-Sections (d) or (e) of this
Section, the State Roads Commission or the Comptroller
shall before any monies are paid over to the Commissioners
of such County, reimburse the said Commission for any
sums due by such County for monies expended in said
County by said Commission under Sub-Section (a) or (b)
of this Section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 7F of
Article 89-B of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land shall continue and be in force until repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal and reenact with amendments Section
260 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (Edition of 1930), title "Howard County",
sub-title "Roads", authorizing the levying of funds for
the building of roads and bridges.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 260 of Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (Edition of 1930, title
"Howard County", sub-title "Roads", be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

260. The Board of County Commissioners of Howard
County is authorized in its discretion to annually levy upon
the taxable property of said County a sum not less than
ten thousand dollars ($10, 000) to be used in the districts
of said County for building, repairing and reconstructing
public roads and bridges or for the purchase of road
machinery, which said sum shall be levied and collected as
are County taxes. The said County Commissioners may
appropriate or levy such other sums of money as they may
deem necessary for building new bridges and opening new
roads or for repairing and reconstructing public roads and
bridges in said County or for the purchase of road machin-
