8G. The organization, rights, powers, duties, obligations
and functions of the Department of Welfare of Baltimore City
as prescribed in Section 117A of Article 1 of the Public Local
Laws relating to Baltimore City shall not be affected by this
Article, except as hereinbefore provided, but said Department
of Welfare of Baltimore City is hereby vested with all the
rights, powers and functions which are vested in the County
Welfare Boards under this Article.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of
this Act or the application thereof to any person or circum-
stances is held invalid, the remainder of the Act, and the ap-
plication thereof to other persons or circumstances shall not
be affected thereby.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 100.
(Senate Bill 134)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 16 of the Public
General Laws of Maryland, Title "Chancery", subtitle
"Trustee"; such section to follow immediately after sec-
tion 268A in the Annotated Code of 1924 as heretofore
amended, and to be known as Section 268B; such new
section providing for commissions to be allowed testa-
mentary and other trustees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
that a new section to be known as Section 268B,
be and the same is hereby added to Article 16 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, Title "Chancery"; sub-
title "Trustee"; said section to follow the section numbered
268A in Bagby's Annotated Code of 1924 as heretofore
amended, and to read as follows:

268B. Testamentary Trustees, and Trustees of other
trusts whose duties comprise the collection and distribution
of income from property held under trust settlements or
the preservation and distribution of such property, shall
in lieu of such commissions as have been heretofore allowed
for such services by custom or by law, be entitled to the
