Commissioner from office for inefficiency, neglect of duty or
malfeasance in office. The salary of the Commissioner shall
be $5, 000. 00 per annum. The said Commissioner shall be
allowed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the
discharge of his duties.
The Commissioner of Labor and Statistics is authorized and
empowered to appoint or employ such deputies, inspectors,
assistants and employees of every kind as may be necessary
for the performance of the duties now or hereafter imposed
upon him by this or any other law; provided, however, that
such appointments and employments, and the compensation
to be allowed therefor, shall in each and every case be subject
to the approval of the Governor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Crimes and Punishments, " to be known as Section
259A, to follow Section 259, and relating to the issuance
of search warrants.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, entitled "Crimes and Punishments, " to fol-
low immediately after Section 259, to be known as Section
259A, and to read as follows:
