Sec. 22. It shall be the duty of the County Health Officer
to examine all applicants for position on the Montgomery
County Police and to certify to the Police Civil Service Com-
missioner the physical condition of each of said applicants^
and also to annually examine and certify to the County Com-
missioners and the Police Trial Board the physical condition
of all of the officers and men of the Montgomery County Police.
For the additional services required by him by this Act, said
County Health Officer shall not receive additional compen-
sation.
Sec. 23. And be it further enacted, That the Board of
County Commissioners of Montgomery County is hereby au-
thorized to install such police call box system for Montgomery
County and to extend the same from time to time as in their
judgment is necessary.
Sec. 24. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arun-
del County", sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables",
said new section to be known as Section 343A, and to follow
immediately after Section 343 of said Article, providing
that Justices of the Peace having criminal jurisdiction may
attend their respective offices on Sundays and legal holidays.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be, and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Justices of the
Peace and Constables", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 343A, to follow immediately after Section 343, and to read
as follows:
