of the said incorporated municipalities; it being the intention
that, although the fines, penalties and forfeitures received by
the County Commissioners are to be remitted to the munici-
palities in the proportions named, the costs or fees imposed
and collected by said trial magistrates and remitted to the
County Commissioners, are to be retained by said County
Commissioners.

95. Salary Plan. As full compensation for their services
in civil and criminal cases the said trial magistrates and other
justices of the peace shall be paid salaries by the County Com-
missioners of the respective counties as hereinafter specified
in Section 98.

96. Constables. The County Commissioners of each County
may appoint one constable for each of the election districts
of the County and such number of constables at large as
hereinafter specified, to be designated and to serve as con-
stables for the trial magistrates; and salaries shall be paid
by the County Commissioners to said constables at large, in
lieu of all costs and fees chargeable by or for them in civil
and criminal cases; but the said costs and fees shall be col-
lected as heretofore and paid to the County Commissioners.
The said salaries in the respective counties shall be as here-
inafter provided.

97. Reimbursement to Counties. The trial magistrates
shall promptly report and remit to the Commissioner of
Motor Vehicles, in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Law,
all fines, forfeitures, penalties and costs imposed and col-
lected by them in cases of violation of said law. The Com-
missioner of Motor Vehicles shall keep separate accounts for
each of the trial magistrates in the State. Not later than the
fifteenth day of each month., the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles shall remit to the County Commissioners of each
County the sum of two dollars ($2. 00) for every case of viola-
tion of the Motor Vehicle Law in said County during the
preceding month, for which accounting or due report has been
made by said magistrates, said sums so remitted by the Com-
missioner of Motor Vehicles to be applied by the County to
the payment of the salaries and other expenses specified in
this Act.

98. Number and Salaries. The number and salaries of the
trial magistrates and the places where they shall sit in the
several comities shall be as follows:

Allegany County. There shall be ten trial magistrates, two of
whom shall sit for the trial of cases in the City of Cumberland,
two at Frostburg, one at Westernport, one at Lonaconing, one
