cent (10%) of the net profits in excess of the above shall be
paid over to the Commissioners of the City of Cambridge for
the use of said City, and a similar amount shall be paid to any
city or town in which a dispensary may be maintained; the
remainder of the net profits shall be paid to the County Com-
missioners for the use of the County.
48N. No member or employee of the Liquor Control Board
of Dorchester County shall have any financial interest, directly
or indirectly, in the manufacture of any alcoholic beverage,
or in any alcoholic beverage purchased or sold under the pro-
visions of this Article, or derive any profit or remuneration
from the purchase or sale of any such beverage, other than
the salary or wages payable for the discharge of the duties of
the office or position, as herein prescribed or authorized.
Any member of the Board, or any employee of said Board,
violating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction,
be subject to a fine not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars
($2, 000. 00) or to imprisonment, not exceeding three years, or
both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court.
48-O. No person, firm, corporation or association other than
a member or employee of the Liquor Control Board shall sell
in Dorchester County any sparkling or fortified wine or any
other alcoholic beverage containing more than 14% of alcohol
by volume in sealed packages or containers for consumption off
the premises. Any person, firm, corporation or association
violating any provision of this section is guilty of a misde-
meanor and shall be punished, upon conviction, by imprison-
ment for not more than a year, or a fine of not more than
$1, 000, or both.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That at the next Special,
General or Congressional election held in said County there
shall be submitted to the legal and qualified voters of Dor-
chester County the question of whether the sale of sparkling
or fortified wine or any other alcoholic beverage containing
more than 14% of alcohol by volume in sealed packages or
containers for consumption off the premises shall be permitted
only by County Dispensaries. At said election the vote upon
the above question shall be by ballot, and on the ballots to be
used, the Supervisors of Elections of said County shall have
printed on one line the words "For County Dispensary
System", and on another line the words "Against County
Dispensary System", with a square opposite the right end of
each line so that each voter can indicate his or her choice on
said question. The said election shall be conducted and the
results thereof ascertained in accordance with the Constitut-
