CHAPTER 647.
(House Bill 837)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 72
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1924 Edi-
tion, title "Licenses", sub-title "Traders", providing for the
issuance of tags for cigarette vending machines.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 72 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1924 Edition, title "Licenses", sub-title "Traders",
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
72. Upon such application, the said Clerk shall demand and
receive from said applicant the sum of twenty-five dollars
before granting said license, and in all cases the said trader
shall post the said license in a conspicuous place in his place
of business; and in the event the sale of cigarettes is made
through vending machines, the Clerk shall supply the licensee,
in addition to the license herein mentioned, with a metal tag
or stamp, to be affixed to the vending machines in accordance
with regulations of the State Comptroller. The failure of any
such person or corporation to procure said license, or to com-
ply with said regulations issued by the State Comptroller,
shall be a misdemeanor, and upon conviction such person or
corporation shall be fined one hundred dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 648.
(House Bill 839)
AN ACT to authorize the Board of Education of Prince
George's County and the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County to issue serial bonds of said County to the
amount of not more than Sixty Thousand Dollars
($60, 000. 00) for the purpose of building a certain new school
house or school houses, or for the construction of addition or
additions to existing school house or school houses in said
county, and for equipping such new or improved school
house or school houses, said bonds to be issued from time to
