prise or business whatsoever in a residential zone, that is,
in any district designated on the zone maps as residential.
For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this section,
the Commission shall supply every such Clerk, administrative
official, licensing body or board, and every other official or
body empowered to issue any license or permit, with a copy
of the map or maps showing the residential, commercial, in-
dustrial and other zones or districts in the District. Every
license or permit issued in violation of this section shall be
void; and the issuance of any such license or permit is hereby
declared a misdemeanor and punishable as other misdemeanors
are punishable under Section 30 of this Act.

SEC. 24. And be it further enacted, That there is hereby es-
tablished an Official Map of the District. The Commission
shall be the maker and custodian of said map. Said map
shall show the locations and lines of the roads within the
District existing and established by law as public roads at
the time of the preparation and setting up of the map by the
Commission; also the locations of the lines of roads on sub-
division plats which shall have been approved by the Com-
mission at or previous to said time. The map shall be deemed
made and shall be in effect as the official map when the afore-
said road lines shall have been placed thereon.

Thereafter there shall be placed upon the official map from
time to time and become a part thereof the lines of the roads
in accordance with and as shown upon each subdivision plat
as approved by the Commission.

The District Council may order, from time to time, other
additions to or modifications of the official map; provided,
however, that before taking any such action, said District
Council sail hold a public hearing thereon, notice of the time
and place of which shall be given not less than thirty (30)
days previous to the time fixed therefor by one publication in
two newspapers of general circulation in the District, and, in
so far as their addresses appear in the current Annapolis or
County directory or 011 city or county official records, by
mail to the record owners of the land on or abutting which
the proposed road lines are located; and provided further
that such proposed addition to or modification of the official
map shall first be submitted, for approval or disapproval, to
the Commission, and, in the event of such Commission's dis-
approval, the order for such addition or modification shall
require the favorable vote of not less than two-thirds (2/3)
of the entire membership of the District Council. Any road-
line location certified by the Commission to the District Coun-
cil as authorized by Section 25 of this Act shall be deemed
approved by the Commission without further submission there-
