1250 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 631

(B) Said Commission shall have power to call a special
meeting or meetings to be held on Friday, not earlier than 7. 30
o'clock P. M., and at the last regular meeting place of said
Commission, whenever in the opinion of a majority of said
Commissioners, such special meeting is necessary for the wel-
fare or best interests of said town.

(C) That said Commission shall, within one week after said
Commission, at one of its regular meetings, shall have received
a petition signed by not less than ten registered voters who
are taxpayers upon real property in said town, hold a special
meeting. Such petition shall state the purpose for which pe-
titioners wish such special meeting to be held, and shall be
sworn to, as to the genuineness of the signatures thereon, be-
fore the Secretary Commissioner.

That no special meeting of said Commission shall be held
unless at least one notice thereof, which notice shall indicate
the purpose thereof, shall have been posted by said Commis-
sion in a public place of said town at least three (3) days
prior to the date fixed for such special meeting.

SEC. 10. And be it further enacted:

(A) That annually, on or before the first Monday in March,
after this Charter becomes effective, the Hillside Commission
shall, by resolution entered in the minute books of said Com-
mission, appoint a Board of Election Supervisors, to be com-
posed of three (3) members, each of whom shall be a citizen
of the United States, of the age of twenty-five (25) years or
more, and a bona fide resident of said town for at least six (6)
months.

(B) That the members of said board shall receive no salary
or compensation.

(C) That, before entering upon the duties of his office, each
member of said Board shall take oath before the secretary
commissioner, or before a justice of the peace or other officer
or person (including a notary public), authorized by law to
administer oaths in Prince George's County, that he will dili-
gently, faithfully, and impartially discharge his duties as a
member of said board.

(D) That said board shall select one of its members as
clerk. And each member of said board shall have power to ad-
minister oaths in connection with the registration of voters
in said town.

(E) That said Board shall, on the first Monday in April, if
not a legal holiday, and if a legal holiday then on the day fol-
lowing, and also on the second Monday in April, if not a legal
holiday, and if a legal holiday then on the day following, con-
duct a registration of the qualified voters of said town.
