The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall have authority,
in disputed cases, to determine the extent of the applicability
of the definitions herein contained.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 586.
(House Bill 554)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title
"Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "License to Operators", said
new section to be known as Section 186A and to follow
immediately after Section 186 of said Article, authorizing
the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue temporary
operators' licenses in certain cases.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles", sub-heading "License
to Operators", said new section to be known as Section 186A,
to follow immediately after Section 186 of said Article, and
to read as follows:
186A. Whenever any person holding an unrevoked and
unsuspended motor vehicle operator's license is required to
submit such license to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for
the purpose of recording a change of address or for any other
purpose, the Commissioner may, in his discretion, issue to such
person without charge a temporary operator's license to be
valid for not more than fifteen (15) days from the date of
issuance.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1939.
