CHAPTER 557.
(House Bill 768)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 170
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County", sub-title
"Capitol Heights", increasing the compensation of the Treas-
urer of Capitol Heights.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 170 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Capitol Heights", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

170. And the said Treasurer shall receive as a full com-
pensation for the discharge of his duty a sum of two hundred
dollars per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

Approved May 11, 1939.

CHAPTER 558.
(House Bill 105)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 38
of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Chancery", sub-title "Divorce", as said Sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 396 of the Laws of 1937, to
eliminate one of the grounds for divorce.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 38 of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Chancery", sub-title "Di-
vorce", as said Section was amended by Chapter 396 of the
Laws of 1937, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, to read as follows:

38. Upon a hearing of any bill for a divorce, the court may
decree a divorce a vinculo matrimonii for the following
causes, to wit: first, the impotence of either party at the time
of the marriage; secondly, for any cause which by the laws of
