Calvert County, such taxes as will be sufficient to pay the in-
terest on the outstanding bonds issued pursuant to the au-
thority of this Act as the same shall fall due and be payable
and also such further additional sums as will be sufficient to
retire and redeem said bonds as they mature and become due
and payable, said taxes to be levied until all of said bonds
shall have been retired. And said taxes shall be collected in
like manner as other taxes levied in Calvert County are col-
lected, and when collected shall be applied to the payment
of the interest on outstanding bonds herein authorized and
for the redemption of the same as they mature and become
payable, and for no other purpose.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths (3-5) of all of the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 48)
AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission to take over
and maintain certain bridges in Anne Arundel County.
WHEREAS, The bridges over Spa Creek and Stony Creek
are connected with improved State highways at both ends and
are travelled by people of the entire State, therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission be and it is hereby
authorized to take over and maintain as State bridges the fol-
lowing bridges in Anne Arundel County: The Eastport
Bridge over Spa Creek in the Sixth Election District, and the
bridge over Stony Creek in the Third Election District.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
