traveling expenses and other expenses incurred by him in the
performance of his official duties, and in addition thereto the
chairman of said Commission shall receive an annual salary
of fifteen hundred ($1, 500. 00) dollars, and each of the other
commissioners shall receive a salary of twelve hundred
($1, 200. 00) dollars, said expenses and said salaries shall be
payable out of the license fees hereinafter provided. Each
of said commissioners shall give bond to the State of Mary-
land in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars, conditioned
upon the faithful performance of his duties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1931.

CHAPTER 396.

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 6 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Caroline County," said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 565A, 565B, 565C and 565D, under sub-title "Thresh-
ing," and to follow immediately after Section 565 of said
Article to regulate the licensing of persons, firms, associa-
tions and corporations, non-residents of the State of Mary-
land, owning and operating steam, gasoline or other power
threshing machines engaged in the business of threshing of
grains, peas, beans and all other crops and the husking of
corn in Caroline County, Maryland, and providing for a
license fee to be paid by such persons, firms, associations
and corporations, non-residents of the State of Maryland^
so engaged in Caroline County.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 397.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of Regents of
the University of Maryland to acquire by purchase or other-
wise a site for a hospital.
